Terms of use

The short version

• AdPass is free during the beta. We’ll never charge you unless you choose a paid plan.
• Your vault is yours. We can’t read it, and you can export or delete it whenever you like.
• Because we can’t read your vault, we can’t get it back for you. Keep your Recovery Code safe.
• The beta is still being built. Keep a copy of your passwords somewhere else while the beta runs.
• Use AdPass lawfully and don’t attack it or other people with it.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to use AdPass. Use an email address you can get into, since we send sign-in codes and security alerts there. You’re responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else got in.

Your vault and your data

• Everything in your vault belongs to you. It’s encrypted on your device before it reaches us, and we can’t see what’s in it.
• You can take a copy at any time with Settings › Export your vault, on every plan, including after a paid plan ends.
• Only your signed-in devices and your Recovery Code can open your vault. If you lose all of them, nobody, including us, can open it again.
• Keep your devices, your Recovery Code and your email account safe. Anyone with them may be able to get into your vault.

Ad blocking

AdPass blocks ads, trackers and cookie banners using filter lists. Sometimes that breaks part of a site. You can turn blocking off for any site, and when you report a broken site, we work to fix it fast. We never take money to let ads through.

The beta

• During the beta, every feature is free for everyone. Features may change, move to a paid plan or go away as we learn what works.
• The beta may have bugs, including ones that lose data. Keep your passwords in your current app too, and export your vault now and then.
• When paid plans launch, we’ll tell you the prices first. Nothing is charged unless you choose a plan, and the free plan keeps ad blocking and your vault.

Fair use

• Don’t use AdPass to break the law, or to store or share anything you have no right to.
• Don’t try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, overload our servers, or get around limits we put in place to keep AdPass safe.
• Found a security problem? Report it under our disclosure policy instead. Research done in good faith under that policy is welcome.
• Don’t send spam, abuse or anything harmful through the feedback form.
• Our vulnerability disclosure policy explains how to report a security problem safely.

Leaving, or if we stop

You can stop using AdPass and delete your account at any time with Settings › Delete account. If someone breaks these terms in a way that puts AdPass or other people at risk, we may close their account, and we’ll tell them by email first unless that would make the harm worse. If we ever shut AdPass down, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice to export your vault.

What we can promise

We work hard to keep AdPass safe and working, but no software is perfect, and the beta is still being built. To the extent the law allows, AdPass is provided “as is”, without warranties, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost profits. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. For changes that affect you, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
